Fuel surcharge increase (27/09/2007)

British Airways World Cargo has announced an increase to its fuel surcharge. The surcharge will be GBP0.44/kg / USD0.65/kg / EUR0.65/kg, with effect from 11 October 2007.

The fuel surcharge increase follows a second consecutive week that the fuel index has been above the level 13 threshold. The index was developed by BA World Cargo to provide customers with more information about the calculation of fuel surcharges. It is updated on a weekly basis and posted on this website.

Adam Carson, senior manager revenue management, said: "As a result of recent increases in fuel prices we have raised the surcharge in accordance with our published index and policy."
