Gatwick wins Zoom Airlines ground handling contract (27/05/2008)
British Airways World Cargo has been awarded a three-year contract to provide full cargo ground handling services for Zoom Airlines from May 2008.
BA World Cargo will handle all of Zoom's 42 Gatwick flights a week, servicing a range of destinations in Canada and North America, including Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, New York, Bermuda, San Diego and Fort Lauderdale.
Colin Nicholls, regional cargo manager UK and Europe for Zoom Airlines, commented: "BA World Cargo provides us with the automation needed to take our cargo product to a new level. BA's Gatwick operation has a very good reputation for handling third party carriers and we look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship."
